The Jewish community and its allies have become increasingly aware of the hostile climate Jewish youth are facing in schools, leading to increased resources devoted to addressing this challenge. However, much of this work is not yet evidence-based, and it often is note easy for many of the dedicated professionals leading these efforts to be in regular dialogue with the researchers studying these issues. As a result, opportunities to translate emerging research into practice—and to ensure that research is informed by the realities on the ground—are often missed.

There is a need for an organized network of researchers dedicated to advancing action-oriented scholarship on Jewish students' safety, belonging, and educational experiences in K–12 schools, as well as a platform to elevate and share this work. There is also a need for increased communication and collaboration between applied researchers and front-line professionals so that each can inform the other. This collaborative seeks to build a community of learning and action that bridges research and practice in support of Jewish belonging and flourishing in schools.

Atid is a multidisciplinary network of researchers, professionals, and practitioners. Membership is free, and we keep a private listserv for intergroup communication.
