Elizabeth Joy Erwin
Dr. Elizabeth Joy Erwin is Professor at Montclair State University, New Jersey where she prepares graduate and doctoral teacher education students to think critically, reflect deeply and teach inclusively. Her work has been shaped by disability-justice and equity-based teaching in early childhood — locally, nationally, and globally. This work lays the foundation for her commitment to advancing the presence of Jewish identity and antisemitism in early childhood and elementary education with an emphasis on partnering with children to promote justice in the world and peace within. Elizabeth has been strengthening connections on campus and off to elevate Jewish and pro-Israel narratives as well as infuse Jewish and antisemitism content into her coursework and research agenda.
